Deep Dives, Away Days & Work Retreats
Interested in self-organising your own work retreat this summer?
We’re creating the perfect campus for those in the new economy sector to come and study, work and play, and we’re inviting you to come away with colleagues for a self-organised workaway.
Selgars Mill is a secluded 19th century mill house nestled in eight acres of beautiful gardens with mature trees, a large vegetable garden, and private woodlands in Mid Devon just two miles from Tiverton Parkway Station or just off the M5.
We’ve spent the winter months updating the ground floor of the mill to become ‘the Assembly Rooms’, a series of comfortable but practical workspaces set within the mill’s original heritage features. We’ve also started a national collection of new economy literature in the People’s Library. We think it is the ideal space to swat up on new organisational structures, build a strategy, come up with new ideas or to deep dive into a work sprint and get some serious work done.
There is ample space for work, rest and play over the four floors overlooking the stunning gardens whilst keeping a cosy and warm atmosphere with roaring fires. There is an enormous kitchen area with several fridges and multiple cooking appliance options and large, long dining tables. There is accommodation for up to 22 people. That's 16 in the Millhouse, and room for 6 more in the Mill Lodge and Waggon. Find out more about the campus here.
